Tina, tell us a little about you and your family?
Yes! In 2013, with the wingbeats of the whippoorwill and blue jay at my back I have flown into the good life in Jefferson City, Missouri. Here I get to make beautiful things on paper with people across the Lower Midwest. I love books. I love my dog child Della, who is nearly as big and 100x as fluffy as me. I love hiking. I get to share a life with my boyfriend Duncan and his two daughters. They go to East School and Lewis and Clark.

Where did you grow up?
Dixon, MO and then Lebanon, MO. Mizzou for school. Then here!

What moved you to JCMO?
I followed a boy from Columbia! And wanted to be close to family. I also used to intern for MO State Parks, so I was familiar with the city and liked it.

What are causes you believe in?
Climate change mitigation and resilience! Read local! Buy local! Here is good!

Favorite quote?
So many! I've been digging on this one from Thom Yorke: "I don't care what the future holds, because I'm right here and I'm today."

What is the best piece of advice you even been given?
My great-grandfather, repeatedly imploring me to slow down.

What is your favorite word in the English language and why?
So many! Right now it's "ekphrasis," "the use of detailed description of a work of visual art as a literary device."

What excites you most about being Community Manager at Campus?
The opportunity to work obsessively toward helping people in our community help each other do their best work and leave a positive legacy in their community (whether that's Jeff City, the Midwest, the tech world, the art world--all of it!). I do this with people naturally, and to have it as a job description is a dream come true.

What is your favorite book and why?
Are you kidding? We'd be here all day. My fallback answer is Into the Wild

Here is good.
— Tina Casagrand

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Ooh, tricky question. Trick question? What spare time? I read books and magazines? I hike? Sauna and meditation--is that too intimate for the Campus Community? Oh wait, I do have something! Dunc and I have recently started watching Brooklyn 99, which is the first television series I've watched in 5 years. What did I watch 5 years before? Vampire Diaries. I was depressed, avoiding reality, and touching back into my high school interests. Ha!

What is the strangest talent you have?
saying the alphabet backwards rill fast. rill fast.

What are three things on your bucket list?
Live on Greek islands, buy a pair of Hiut jeans, and start a Campus Coworking Space reading group.

Thank you for everything you help us with, Tina! From prompting the perfect questions in the kitchen to throwing stellar events to simply making us laugh, we appreciate you! - S&M ;)
